Central Highlands province to host Tea Culture Festival 2008

A strong effort to promote a local high quality tea brand and other attractions in the area will see the Tea Culture Festival 2008 celebrated in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong later this year.

Organizers told the press on Tuesday (October 14) that the festival will be held in Bao Loc Town, famous as a premier tea growing area in the country, from December 4-7.
The festival will have many activities including exhibitions and a trade promotion program for B’lao, a Vietnamese tea brand; a fashion show featuring Bao Loc silk; tea culture nights; and a seminar on enhancing the quality of Vietnamese tea.
The event mainly aims to honor farmers and tea enterprises and promote Vietnamese tea, especially B’lao tea, to visitors.
Organizers say they will highlight some tea growing regions and companies who meet food safety and hygiene standards.
The festival is being organized by the People’s Committee of Bao Loc and the Viet Communications Joint Stock Company.
